Registered Manager (Children s Home) Location: Cardiff Job Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 37 Grade: £43,693 - £46,731 Join our dedicated team as a Registered Manager at a Children s Home in Cardiff. This role is crucial for providing leadership and ensuring the safe and efficient management of the Assessment Children s Home and Satellite Emergency Provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance with the home's Statement of Purposes and supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Oversee the operation of the homes, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, community members, and professional agencies. Lead a multi-agency approach to assess and plan for young people in the Assessment Centre. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and develop policies and practices that enhance service quality and safety. Manage the staff team, ensuring professional development, maintaining competence, and promoting personal growth. Coordinate meetings, manage budgets effectively, and ensure all records are maintained according to legislation. Promote a culture of openness, honesty, and innovation within the home. Required Skills & Qualifications: Significant experience in residential child care at a senior or management level. Familiarity with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT. Registered with Social Care Wales and holds a full valid driving licence with sole use of a vehicle. Benefits: Competitive salary as per Grade 9. Mileage reimbursement at HMRC rates.
