An Inverness based construction group have a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This organisation boasts a significant portfolio of successfully delivered high-value projects across the North of Scotland, within a variety of sectors. Due to recent contract wins, there is a need to grow the team, resulting in a new Senior QS vacancy. Key responsibilities include: Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks of allocated projects Liaison with the senior operational management to ensure understanding of commercial matters relating to the project and support successful operational delivery Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works completed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments Development of project cost plans and working closely with the design team and operational colleagues through the pre-construction process Procurement of subcontract work packages, issuing detailed tender reports in advance of subcontractor appointments Measuring and valuing works carried out on site Formulation of Monthly Valuations, Commercial reporting, the identification and valuation of variations and the control of expenditure Recognise health and safety, risk and margin when carrying out all works Core benefits: Starting salary is based on experience (Contractors typical salary for this role is above market average) Company Car or Car Allowance Generous employee pension contribution Several other benefits-in-kind Application Requirements: Significant experience in a contracting QS role is essential Applicants in a QS role looking to make a step-up to Senior QS will be considered Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Strong IT skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Should the position be of interest apply now or for further information and an informal confidential discussion about the role, get in touch on 01224 965 505.
