Our client is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Estimator for their business based in Leeds.\n\n Senior Estimator\n\n Leeds\n\n Permanent - £70,000-£80,000\n\nOur client is a well-respected contractor providing construction and Civil engineering services to the public and private sector across the UK. They deliver various Earthworks, Remediation and Infrastructure projects to their client s specifications.\n\nThey are looking for a Senior Estimator with experience on civils/groundworks-based tenders and a strong knowledge of civil engineering processes, materials, and cost structures.\n\nRoles and responsibilities;\n\n Working as an senior estimator on behalf of main contract or sub contract packages\n\n The ability to work on various schemes with being able to with the workloads expected.\n\n Have good knowledge of NEC and ICC forms of contracts.\n\n Stay updated on Industry trends, material prices, and labour costs to ensure competitive bidding.\n\n Comfortable working on project with values up to 12 million.\n\n Compile and issue tender queries during tender period and ensure responses are dealt with in the submission\n\n Liaise with the legal and insurance departments to ensure compliance to company strategy and protect from potential risk\n\n Provide mentoring and guidance to others in the estimating team\n\n Provide tender handover pack on all successful bids\n\n Assist quantity surveying department with compensation events build ups\n\n Attend pre-tender meetings\n\n Review unsuccessful tenders and analyse for future bids\n\n To ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for the safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.\n\n To carry out all other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager.\n\n To have the hunger to succeed and grow with a business who are growing too.\n\n Generate detailed reports and updates on workload and submitted proposals\n\nRequirements ;\n\n A strong knowledge of all aspects of Civils and Groundworks related tenders for both Residential and Industrial sites, from site investigation through to Infrastructure works.\n\n 10 years experience in an estimating role within the Civil Engineering or Groundworks sector\n\n Proficiency in MS office suite, Excel and Measuring/Project Management Software\n\nAdditional Information;\n\n £70,000-£80,000\n\n Opportunities for professional development and career progression\n\n A competitive salary package reflective of experience and expertise\n\nIf you are currently looking for a new opportunity and would like to find out further information, then please give BCS connect a call or send your CV for the attention of Jennifer Cox
