We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and financial planning for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting, ensuring projects are completed on budget and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of subcontractors through competitive bidding processes. Manage project finances, including valuations, cost control, and forecasting. Collaborate with project teams to ensure budgets and programmes are maintained. Prepare and administer subcontractor contracts. Monitor and report on project progress and expenditure. Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements. Identify and manage risks related to costs and contracts. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and compliance with project specifications Submit monthly application for payment/invoices. Review claims, variations and extensions of time and manage contractual disputes or claims. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a cost management or quantity surveying role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and relevant legislation. Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Membership in a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable but not essential. UK Drivers license.
