We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to be part of an exciting multi-year MOD project at a brand-new manufacturing facility in Stockport, Greater Manchester. If you’re skilled in mechanical maintenance and want to work on cutting-edge military equipment, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Early finish Fridays – 12:00 pm)

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

Working on one of the largest MOD projects ever awarded

Maintaining and repairing HGVs and heavy-duty military vehicles

Diagnosing faults using technical manuals & diagnostic tools

Implementing safety, quality, and compliance procedures

Collaborating with a skilled team in a high-tech environment

What do you need?

5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Fitter

Mechanical Engineering Certification (City & Guilds / NVQ) - desirable

Experience in vehicle assembly or maintenance (desirable)

Strong knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems

A military background (advantageous)

Excellent problem-solving & teamwork skills
