High Skills Technician - Mechanical Engineering Annual Salary: £30,711 to £32,642 including London Weighting Location: West London Job Type: Full-time Join our FE College at an exciting time as a High Skills Technician in Mechanical Engineering. This role supports our higher education delivery and the West London Institute of Technology, which offers a range of higher education programmes. With excellent facilities and a highly successful team, this is a great opportunity for someone passionate about engineering education. Day-to-day of the role: Work within the Mechanical Engineering area, including the Materials Lab, Mechanical Science Lab, and Project Lab. Assist lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are at an efficient level. Carry out risk assessments and ensure all aspects of health and safety are complied with. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 2 years experience with mechanical test equipment, such as for material testing, fluid mechanics, and mechanical principles. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
