My client is full-service Legal law firm based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne serving clients throughout the UK and further afield. They have an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality partner-led advice with exceptional personal service.

They require an experienced Legal Secretary to join their successful Commercial Property department. This is a full-time position and involves all aspects of secretarial and administration support, including the following:

providing efficient and effective secretarial support to Fee Earners;

using a case management system and digital dictation to produce documents including letters, forms, invoices etc;

liaising directly with clients and other professionals, making appointments and managing diaries;

managing fee-earner diaries, including organising remote hearing and conference arrangements;

assisting with post, photocopying, scanning, filing and file management

undertaking administrative tasks including document sorting, paying disbursements and collating information.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, enthusiastic, have the ability to multitask and be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team. Applicants should be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to work quickly and accurately, often within tight timescales.

You will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including basic excel and powerpoint) and be confident in creating, amending and formatting large, complicated documents. Knowledge of Case Management and Digital Dictation systems is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a professional manner with the ability to deal with a variety of enquiries and be confident in dealing with clients.

Previous secretarial experience in a Commercial Property department would be an advantage but we will consider experienced candidates from other areas of law.
