Teaching Assistant - Early YearsPosition: Early Years Teaching AssistantLocation: LeedsType: Long Term TemporaryHours: Full timeHays Education West Yorkshire division are looking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant for a Primary school in the Leeds area.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a nursery early years (EYFS) class on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year. This role will be full-time, and is best suited to a level 3 qualified teaching assistant who will be able to commit to the role until the end of the academic year.Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent support to early years children within the classroom Engaging the children with educational activities and managing transitions Monitor and support the children's safety, assisting with self-care tasks Set up a range of engaging activities around the EYFS framework Promote the use of Read Write Inc phonics scheme, supported by the class teacher Requirements: Experience working with children in EYFS Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and effective manner. Commitment to providing consistent and reliable support. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare, or referenceable experience within the last two years.
