As a Community of Practice Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing a national community of practice. You will focus on specific activities or areas within the community, ensuring that efforts align with national standards and priorities while avoiding duplication. The Officer within the Logistics Community of Practice will focus on logistics planning, delivery, and support to counties and networks. Please note that there are 5 geographical roles: NE & NW, EMR & WMR, East of England, London, SE & SW. Your role will be to provide leadership, management, and subject matter expertise to grow and develop logistics capability in the planning and delivery within the appointed geographical area. The post-holder will work in support of the Logistics Manager for their defined area and in partnership with regional, specialist, county, and network partners to build and inspire an effective team of people who will deliver logistics input to operational and non-operational activities as per the organisational vision, goals, and strategy. You and your team will ensure the right equipment is in the right place at the right time in the most cost-effective way. As a Community of Practice Officer, you will: Support the Community of Practice Lead in coordinating the community. Focus on specific activities or areas within the community of practice. Assist in delivering impactful initiatives and projects. Foster collaboration and strengthen professional engagement. Champion inclusivity and provide support to community members. Contribute to the overall success and development of the community. For more information about this role, please see the role description. Selection will be against the role description and judged upon the application form showing how the candidate is appropriate for the role. Due to the seniority of the role, the candidate will need to detail in the application how they meet the specifics of the role description and their relevant experience. Once shortlisted and interviewed, a selection event will not be required. The interview will be via Teams and the panel will include: Senior Events Team representative, National Operations Advisor or the CoP Lead, and one other panel member TBC. Local and specific induction will be arranged for the successful candidate based on their previous SJA experience and requirements. An informal meeting with the National Advisor for Operations, Logistics Manager, and the CoP Lead will be held shortly after appointment to establish any welcome needs.
