Job Title: Business Development Manager - Bridging Finance Location: UK Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Experience Level: Mid-level (2-3 years of experience) About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding Bridging Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with 2-3 years of sales experience working within the bridging finance sector to take the next step in their career and contribute to the growth of a leading bridging lender based in London. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the acquisition of new clients, developing and maintaining relationships with intermediaries, brokers, and introducers, and actively promoting our tailored bridging finance solutions to help clients meet their immediate financial needs. You will be expected to build and execute a strategy to identify and develop new business opportunities and maintain the company s high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities: Business Development : Identify and cultivate new relationships with brokers, introducers, and direct clients. Drive the acquisition of new bridging finance deals and help expand the company s client base in key markets. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, property professionals, and investors. Be the main point of contact for clients and ensure they receive top-tier service. Market Research and Analysis : Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the bridging finance sector. Provide insights to the team to support product development and service enhancements. Sales Strategy and Reporting : Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve set targets and KPIs. Provide monthly reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and market feedback to senior management. Negotiation and Deal Structuring : Work closely with clients to understand their financial requirements and structure suitable bridging finance solutions that meet their needs while ensuring profitability and risk management. Brand Promotion : Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences. Act as a brand ambassador and help increase the company's market presence. Collaboration : Work closely with underwriting, risk, and operations to ensure a smooth process from deal inception to completion. Skills & Qualifications: Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of business development/slaes experience within the bridging finance or specialist lending sector. A solid understanding of bridging loans, property finance, and associated products is essential. Industry Knowledge : A deep understanding of the UK bridging finance market, trends, and regulatory landscape. Relationship Building : Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders. Proven track record in business development and managing relationships. Negotiation Skills : Experience structuring deals, negotiating terms, and closing business while ensuring client satisfaction and profitability. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner. Organizational Skills : Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities. Comfortable managing multiple deals and priorities at once. IT Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive or similar). Desirable Attributes: Self-Starter : Proactive and results-oriented with the ability to work independently. Problem Solver : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when dealing with complex client requirements. Networker : Ability to build and leverage a strong network of contacts within the property and finance sectors. Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
