We are seeking an enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join the Blood Services Pathology team at our clients large hospital-based Laboratory based in Oxford.
You will work as one of 6 Biomedical Scientists dealing with Chemistry, Haematology and Transfusion work.
This role is opened to newly registered Biomedical Scientists, provided you have your HCPC registration or application in process.
The salary range is £30-36,000 depending on experience, with an on-call element adding a further £4,000 to your annual salary

Responsibilities include; performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. You’ll also validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures.
Person requirements:
Qualified Biomedical Scientist with full HCPC registration.
Current or recent Blood Sciences experience in; Chemistry, Haematology and Transfusion.
Able to independently process and validate samples without supervision.
Able to take part in the out-of-hours transfusion rota; as a Lone Worker, to be able to crossmatch samples and issue blood and blood products.
Internationally-trained applicants must have experience in an ISO 15189 accredited Laboratory and able to interview in the UK in person.
