Assistant/Senior / Principal Planning Consultant\n Location: Leeds\n\nPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading consultancy in their search for Planners at all levels, from Assistant Planner to those with significant experience in senior roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team offering hybrid working options and the chance to work on a wide range of exciting projects.\n\nIn this role, you will provide planning consultancy services to public, private, and third-sector clients. You will manage and lead planning projects, including planning applications, site promotions, and appeals. You will also oversee financial aspects of the projects, ensuring effective management of budgets and invoicing.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\nProviding planning consultancy services to a wide range of clients\nManaging planning projects, including leading on planning applications, site promotions, and appeals\nDrafting planning statements, preparing applications, and conducting site visits\nReviewing and commenting on technical reports\nLiaising with technical consultants, statutory consultees, and planning officers\nRepresenting the company at planning committees and public consultation eventsWhat we're looking for:\n\nFormal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Master' s/Postgraduate/First Degree)\nFull RTPI membership (or eligibility for full Chartered Membership)\nRelevant planning experience, ideally in the private sector\nStrong knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations and processes\nExcellent communication skills, including experience in public speaking and liaising with stakeholdersWhat's on offer:\n\nCompetitive salary based on experience\nPension contribution\nCycle to work scheme\nFlexible benefits packageInterested?\n \n The hiring manager is looking to meet with suitable candidates ASAP so if you meet the above criteria, please contact Josh Jones on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
