Part Qualified Accountant Sought : Central Edinburgh : Fully Office Based \n\n A boutique scaled business operating in the private equity sector has engaged WA to source an ambitious and proactive part qualified accountant. \n\n Working with an Associate Director the role holder will be responsible for the delivery of a bespoke financial service to a number of clients including management accounts and other financial reporting. \n\n This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has an enthusiasm to learn to work closely with senior management in board level discussion. \n\n Our client also encourages personal development and provides support for gaining further qualifications as required in this role. \n\n Key Responsibilities: \n\n \n\t Preparation of quarterly management accounts and forecasting for clients, discussing with them directly as required \n\t Liaising with fund managers in relation to investor capital calls and drawdowns, actioning if and when required - including forex transactions \n\t Ensuring that all accounting and performance reports are both accurate and timely \n\t Preparing fund drawdown, equalisation and distributions calculations; communicating directly with investors regarding these calculations \n\t Depending on experience preparation of Statutory Trust, Small Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Limited Partnership accounts ensuring all disclosures are correct \n\t Preparation and submission of VAT returns and compliance with relevant regulations \n\t Review of monthly bank reconciliations, client invoices, expense reports and payment authorisation \n\t Provide appropriate challenge to clients and auditors to ensure good governance and best practices for funds \n\t Ensuring that procedures, practices and systems are operated, maintained and developed to properly control the client side of the business and ensure all systems are adequately documented \n \n\n Experience / Qualifications: \n\n \n\t Part qualified accountant ideally with experience in financial services \n\t Experience in preparation of management accounts including dealing with third parties to ensure the financial information contained within the accounts is complete \n\t Experience in fund accounting, statutory accounts for limited companies and partnerships desirable \n\t Experience in Excel, Word, Investran and Sage Line 50 \n
