They are a high performing business going through a period of growth and are looking to add an Assistant Accountant to their already skilled team. The Role The role of Assistant Accountant will work with a highly skilled team and will report to the Finance Manager. The successful individual will have experience of transactional finance whilst also taking ownership of a number of month end tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with a number of non-finance stakeholders within the organisation. It is also key for this individual to balance their time effectively and prioritise set tasks at the appropriate time. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Preparing year month end management accounts Assisting with month end processes for wider company Assisting in year end financial reporting and overseeing financial transactions Positing & Reconciling payments Bank Reconciliations Assisting with the VAT returns Assisting with system upgrades and process improvement Daily and monthly Business Partnering duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Currently studying a professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAS Previous experience in a similar type role Strong organisational skills Strong IT skills Ability to work to deadlines Excellent communication skills On Offer The role of Assistant Accountant will offer a salary between £30,000 and £35,000 along with a generous benefits package. The offices are accessible via public transport with parking available nearby. They can be easily accessed from Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife, West Lothian and Midlothian.
