Due to company growth we are looking for an experienced Working Foreman with Joinery experience who is hard working, reliable and takes pride in the work they do. You must also have excellent customer service skills as we pride ourselves on delivering high quality workmanship along with building great relationships with our clients who are both Commercial and Residential.SUMMARY OF ROLEReporting to the Contracts Manager the Working Foremen (Joiner) will be responsible for supervising building projects both High End Residential and Commercial.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSite SupervisorEnsuring a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular supervision and inspections with employees and sub- contractorsPreparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talksCarry out site safety checks and ensure all staff are using the correct PPEAssessing and managing safety hazardsEnsuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in placeDirecting and supervising day to day operations of employees and sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational proceduresEnsuring material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme.Co-ordinating deliveries of materials, plant and equipmentScheduling, controlling and monitoring all plant and materials on a weekly basisEnsuring all work is completed to programmeCarrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, processes and proceduresResolving problems and implementing improvementsOrganising and overseeing external inspections, such as with a health and safety inspectorCreating and maintaining good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholdersRaising safety concerns at the appropriate levelFulfilling the role of Mentor as and when requiredFulfilling company CPD requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as requiredContinually developing knowledge of innovative construction techniques and products to enhance the business and fulfil CPD requirementsJoinerConstruction of timber framesCutting and shaping woodRepairs and maintenance of doors, door frames, windows etcFollowing method statements and risk assessments, liasing with the Contracts ManagerCarrying out inspection of tools, plant and equipment before every use in line with Health and Safety legislation.Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislationsSnagging workProviding a quality service to clients and maintaining good customer and working relationshipsFulfilling company CPD requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as required.The above list is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to take on other duties and responsibilities for the effective and efficient performance of this role.DESIRABLE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTESNVQ Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery EssentialPrevious site supervisor experience (At least 2yrs)Excellent trade skillsStrong attention to detailHigh level of accuracyStrong communication skills with all employees and clientsStrong IT skillsMust be organised, reliable and able to take initiativeTact, discretion and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressureAbility to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlinesAbility to work within the budgets set by managersAbility to sometimes work in isolation but also as part of a teamAbility to work safely to acceptable industry standardsAbility to work independently with a high degree of skill and professionalismMust generate trust and confidence in staff at all levelsYOU MUST HAVE A FULL CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENCEBENEFITS INCLUDE;Competitive Salary (DOE)33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)Uniform and PPETraining and Development opportunitiesSocial EventsEnhanced Maternity & Paternity payExtensive Wellbeing Support including EAPIf you think you have the necessary skills and want to be part of a fantastic team within a growing business that offers a competitive salary please forward your CV by email.We will review your CV when received and we will contact you to arrange an interview if your CV meets the criteria for the role.TPBN1_UKTJ
