We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Van Driver in Shepshed, LE12.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, inputting, sorting, loading, and unloading products. Additionally, you will engage in various warehouse activities such as storing materials, picking, packing, and preparing orders. The position also entails occasional responsibilities as a Van Driver, where you will deliver a wide range of items to different addresses along designated routes in a fuel-efficient manner.
Warehouse Operative / Van Driver - Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, and shipping).
Receiving and processing warehouse stock products (picking, unloading, labelling, and storing).
Performing inventory controls and maintaining high-quality standards for audits.
Inspecting products for defects and damages, and reporting any discrepancies.
Keeping a clean and safe working environment while optimizing space utilization.
Operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment as needed.
Following quality service standards and adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
Warehouse Operative / Van Driver - skills and experience:
Proven working experience as a warehouse worker.
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, and other warehouse equipment.
Adequate knowledge of warehouse data systems.
A team player with strong organizational skills.
Physical ability to lift or move heavy products.
Experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
A full valid driver’s license with no more than three points, held for a minimum of 24 months.
Warehouse Operative / Van Driver - Benefits/Shifts/Info
Flexible start, finish but generally 7.30-4.30 Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Due to our insurance restriction on our delivery vehicles we cannot accept any one under 25
Salary is £12.26 per hour
Temp to Perm after 12 weeks
