Our Trainee Engineers have a unique opportunity to combine work-based learning whilst studying towards a formal qualification in energy. If you enjoy being hands-on, this is the programme for you. You'll rotate around different teams putting newly-learned knowledge straight into practice. This is a three year programme and a fantastic opportunity to get your engineering career off to a flying start! Trainee Engineer Roles Locations: England Portsmouth, Reading, Berkshire, Slough, Berkshire, Oxford, Oxfordshire, Aldershot, Hampshire, Basingstoke, Hampshire, New Forest, Hampshire, Petersfield, Hampshire, Melksham, Wiltshire. How is a trainee opportunity different from an apprenticeship? You'll need qualifications in Maths, Science and English. If you have relevant technical experience we may also consider this. Depending on which area of the business you work in, your starting salary will be circa £24,000. Once qualified, our Trainee Engineers will have an HNC or Foundation Degree in Electrical Power Engineering and can expect to be earning circa £34,000 per year. By the time you reach the third year of the programme, you'll be given increased responsibility in managing jobs, including all technical aspects, safety management, and the supervision of crafts people or contractors.
