Trading Underwriter Hybrid - 2 to 3 days from the Basildon office/ the rest from home. Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 p.a . + bonus + benefits including share options. Fantastic Opportunity for experienced Trading Underwriter to join this highly successful global insurance group and Lloyd s underwriting agency to work Hybrid from their office in either London EC3 or Basildon. Great promotional prospects. The Trading Underwriting team handles new, existing and renewal commercial business (mainly Household and Property/Real Estate) via multi product and multi distribution channels including e-trade, sub coverholders and open market brokers to a defined criteria and ensures an excellent service to its brokers at all times. Main Duties of Trading Underwriter Underwrite in accordance with the Internal Underwriting Guide and the Underwriting authority awarded. Trade with Brokers to maximise conversion and retention within your authority. Renewal/Existing and New Business Control. Take underwriting referrals from other offices. Understand/support and drive income, conversion and retention objectives. Assist in the development of new and existing products. Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties. Underwrite taking all necessary care to protect the interest of our capacity providers. Carry out macro underwriting tasks as required. Perform other duties from time to time as determined by the management. Monthly reporting to Line Manager. Experience Required for Trading Underwriter Previous Trading Underwriting experience ideally in either Commercial Household or Commercial Real/Estate Property. Excellent numerical, analytical and planning skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
