Are you a skilled and ambitious Town Planner looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Town Planner to a dynamic and forward-thinking team in Chester. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and exciting projects while contributing to meaningful developments across the region.
Key Responsibilities
·Manage and prioritise your own caseload, delivering high-quality work to meet client expectations.
·Prepare initial site reviews and develop site-specific strategies tailored to client needs.
·Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, including drafting detailed reports.
·Provide bespoke advice to clients, ensuring their objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
·Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals, including architects, landscape consultants, and ecological experts.
·Engage positively with Planning Officers, Councillors, statutory bodies, and the public.
·Lead project meetings and negotiate to secure the best outcomes for clients.
·Collaborate with and support team members, sharing workloads and working on joint projects.
·Manage budgets, time recording, and invoicing to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements
·Proven experience in town planning, ideally within the private sector.
·Strong knowledge of planning legislation and the ability to provide expert advice.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
·A proactive and organised approach to managing projects and meeting deadlines.
·Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
