ROLE OVERVIEW // We are recruiting for a Tax Assistant to join the tax team who sit within the Finance Department. You will be working with the senior tax manager and will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to the partners and the firm. The role is suitable for an individual with previous experience in partnership and personal tax looking to further their career. This is a new role and will be adapted depending on the level of experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES // The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm. Preparation of the Partnership tax computation and Partnership tax return. Assist in the year-end tax reserving process. Preparation and submission of Partners tax returns. Day to day management of the Partners tax affairs, including organising tax payments to HMRC, advising on pension annual allowances, other tax relief deductions and ensuring all tax compliance and required deadlines are met. To deal with correspondence, both partner and HMRC and to deal with ad hoc partner queries (internal and external). Preparation and submission of secondee UK tax returns, liaising with the global mobility team and dealing with their queries. Undertaking research into tax enquiries on partner affairs and assisting on ad hoc projects as they arise. To manage associated tax administration. CANDIDATE PROFILE // Candidates for this position must have: ATT qualified/studying for CTA. Competent in Microsoft office, including Excel and Word. Ability to balance workload with the pressures of studying for a professional qualification. Ability to work on own initiative as well as working as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure in order to meet time deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional and organised approach to work.
