Systems EngineerClient: BAE Systems (Supporting David Brown defence) Location: Huddersfield Contract Length: 6Months Hours: 37 per week (Hybrid 3 4 days onsite) Security Clearance: BPSS + SC Hourly Rate: £56.44 UMBRELLA (Inside IR35) About the Role BAE Systems Submarines is recruiting a Systems Engineerto join the Engineering team working on-site at David Brown Defence. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role supports critical systems engineering and requirements management activities for product development across the lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in systems engineering and requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS). Define, maintain, and promote systems engineering processes, workflows, and best practices. Deliver regular training sessions to Engineering teams on tool usage and methodologies. Manage product requirement sets and engineering risk registers. Support integration with cross-functional platforms such as SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, and Microsoft Office. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
