Summer School 2025 will run from 30 June 22 August 2025 at our Sighthill Campus, bringing together adult learners aged 16+ from all over the world to learn English from Beginner to Advanced level. With new student intakes every week, a range of course options available, and a busy programme of social events, the Summer School is a very dynamic, challenging and rewarding environment. The postholder will provide academic management for the Summer School, including planning and coordinating the courses, and leading the Summer School lecturing staff team. In addition to management duties, the Director will teach a minimum of 5 hours per week, plus provide cover where necessary. The successful applicant will be flexible, self-motivated and capable of working independently without direct supervision. They will require strong organisational, problem-solving and administrative skills together with a genuine interest in the delivery of quality learning programmes to a range of students. The post holder will be educated to SCQF Level 9 (e.g. a degree), with a minimum of a CELTA and ideally DELTA qualification or equivalent, and demonstrable experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language. The successful candidate should be available from 16 June 2025 to 22 August 2025.
