Are you a Structural Engineer looking for your next contract role in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment? We re working with a well-established manufacturing machinery company based just outside Leeds, and they re on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Structural Engineer to join them on a 3 6 month contract . The Opportunity You ll be at the heart of the structural design and analysis of bespoke industrial machinery. Working closely with design and production teams, your role will focus on ensuring structures are safe, reliable, and compliant with the latest industry standards. What You ll Be Doing Performing structural analysis and calculations for heavy-duty equipment and fabricated assemblies Designing and reviewing steel structures, support frames, and welded components Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design reports Collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams Ensuring compliance with UK and international structural standards What We re Looking For Degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering Experience in structural design ideally within heavy machinery or manufacturing Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g. STAAD) Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Inventor preferred) Solid understanding of structural materials, particularly metals and welding Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills What s on Offer Competitive hourly rate based on experience Hybrid working (office and remote split) Modern offices with on-site workshop facilities Free parking & easy access from Leeds and surrounding areas The chance to work on cutting-edge, high-impact engineering projects
