SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire Start Date: Easter 2025 Salary: £83.33 £95.00 per day Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking Special Needs Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of additional needs in schools across Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire . Prior experience and knowledge of SEN is essential for this role. Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant: ? Adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs, following lesson plans provided by the class teacher. ? Supporting students' physical, social, and emotional well-being . ? Using creative and engaging methods to enhance learning. ? Collaborating with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists . ? Providing personal care when required to ensure students' well-being. What We're Looking For: At least 6 months of experience in an education or healthcare setting. Experience supporting children, young people, or adults with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities . A willingness to provide personal care when needed. A genuine passion for helping individuals with additional needs gain independence. A Level 2 or higher qualification, such as: Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection .
