Service Manager/Estimator

Our client is seeking an experienced Service Manager with knowledge of the installation, maintenance and repair of all types of commercial doors, door hardware and windows. This is a chance to make a difference in a small close-knit team who take pride in what they do. Working closely with the Operations Director you will manage clients' needs from start to completion.

Your role as Service Manager will involve:

Planning programme of works for service engineers using field management software tool. Work types include
planned work - both new installation and periodic maintenance
reactive maintenance
call outs
Taking calls from customers, recording jobs on the field management software and allocating them to engineers
Reviewing completed jobs prior to invoicing and allocating prices where appropriate
Carrying out site surveys for commercial door and windows installations; including relevant hardware
Sourcing/ordering parts & obtaining prices as required
Collecting materials and receiving deliveries as required. This will involve some manual handling as well use of a forklift
Preparing professional and accurate quotations prior to sending them to customers on a timely basis
Ensuring all periodic servicing is carried out in line with agreed service intervals
Covering for Operations Director when they are out of the office
Establishing good working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
Assisting with company stock counts
Any other duties that you may reasonably be requested to do from time to time.Essential/desired skills

Knowledge of doors/door hardware/windows/glazing/window hardware beneficial or similar industry
High level of computer literacy (Word/Excel etc)
Knowledge of field management software beneficial
Forklift licence advantageous
