Our client - a well-established consultancy in the power systems sector - is looking to bring a Senior or Principal Engineer on board to support their continued growth. This is a great chance to get involved in technically complex, high-impact projects across the UK and internationally. Whether your background is in renewables, offshore wind, grid integration, or utility-scale systems, your skills in simulation and analysis will be key. The Role In this position, you'll take a lead in delivering a variety of technical studies, working alongside cross-functional teams and directly engaging with clients. Your knowledge of tools like DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD will be essential for dynamic modelling and system simulations. You'll be solving real challenges - not just running numbers. What You'll Be Doing Dynamic System Studies: Carry out voltage and frequency stability assessments in line with G99 standards. Grid Compliance: Deliver comprehensive studies to demonstrate compliance with the UK Grid Code. Transient Simulations: Model insulation coordination scenarios, lightning events, and switching transients. Protection & Earthing Design: Oversee protection coordination and deliver technical earthing studies. Project Leadership: Guide junior engineers, ensure quality deliverables, and keep projects on schedule. Client Relationships: Maintain strong client interactions, contribute to proposals, and support business development activities. What You'll Need A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. At least two years' hands-on experience with UK Grid Code compliance work. Proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD experience with tools like PSS/E, ETAP, IPSA, or CDEGS is a bonus.
