They are looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join their Guildford office, playing a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who wants to take on more responsibility, work on technical design solutions, and contribute to a highly regarded consultancy known for its collaborative and forward-thinking approach. Responsibilities: Leading the design of drainage, highways, and external works for development projects. Producing and reviewing designs using Civil 3D for modelling and Flow for drainage design (experience in these is highly desirable). Preparing technical reports, including Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Transport Statements. Managing projects, budgets, and mentoring junior engineers and technicians. Engaging with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet planning and regulatory requirements. What They're Looking For: Strong experience in development infrastructure design, ideally within a consultancy setting. Proficiency in Civil 3D and Flow (or similar drainage design packages). Knowledge of SuDS, Section 278/38/104 agreements, and UK design standards. The ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and liaise confidently with clients. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with Chartered or near-Chartered status (ICE or CIWEM preferred).
