About the Role: We re working with a leading provider of children s residential care to find a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join their team in Maer, Staffordshire . This home offers therapeutic, activity-led support for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You ll play a key role in helping them build resilience, develop life skills, and feel safe and supported every day. Key Responsibilities: Lead by example in delivering high-quality care and meaningful activities. Support the Registered Manager and Deputy in the day-to-day running of the home. Mentor and guide junior staff, helping to build a positive, nurturing environment. Plan and facilitate structured activities and interventions that promote emotional regulation, independence, and confidence. Maintain accurate records, reports, and contribute to care planning. Safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times. What We re Looking For: Minimum of 1 year s experience in a residential childcare setting. NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Strong understanding of safeguarding, attachment, and trauma-informed practice. Confidence in leading shifts and supporting staff. A commitment to promoting positive outcomes through activity-based approaches. A full UK driving licence (preferred or required, depending on home s location). Why Join This Team?
