Senior Support Engineer - Low Level Controls Engineer Are you an experienced engineer with a knack for troubleshooting complex technical issues? Our client, a global market leader in logistics automation, are looking for a Senior Support Engineer to join the team, where you ll play a key role in resolving challenging faults within the baggage handling systems. If you have a passion for problem-solving, technical expertise, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You ll take ownership of complex control incidents, working closely with high-level teams and duty managers during critical events. Your primary focus will be on Low Level Control (LLC) equipment, ensuring smooth operation by analysing data, optimising performance, and providing specialist support for various control systems, including PLCs and Safety PLCs. You ll also support software repositories and troubleshoot communication issues between systems. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for our OEM equipment, offering technical guidance and building strong relationships with both customers and other suppliers at the airport. You ll ensure incidents and work orders are handled efficiently, maintaining focus on meeting SLAs and providing accurate handovers between shifts. We re looking for someone with a strong technical background in electrical/controls engineering (HNC or equivalent), and extensive experience with Siemens and Schneider PLCs, fieldbus technology, and drive systems. If you have previous experience with material handling systems or airport technology, especially baggage systems, that s a definite plus!
