If so this might be the role for you! We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a high quality, continuous improvement and product-focused mindset who enjoys working as part of a team. The Role: As a Software Development Senior Engineer, you will be working in one of our full-stack engineering teams, transforming our platform to be software as a service, developing next-gen products and capabilities to the Airline e-commerce marketplace. Key Responsibilities: Technically hands-on including estimating, designing, coding, and debugging. Providing third line engineering support to our customers. Mentoring Junior members of the team. Working closely with our quality and performance engineers. Technical Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Essential: Airline GDS or PSS integration experience using any ONE of the following: Sabre, Amadeus, SITA, Travelport, Galileo, Worldspan, Apollo, Abacus, Pegasus, TravelSky, Radixx, Navitaire or a bespoke airline PSS / backend system where you can demonstrate strong knowledge of PNR s and complex flight booking structures. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Java development, Web Services and object-oriented principles. Solid experience in the development of highly available and scalable applications. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team. Ability to learn independently. Desirable: Degree in Computing or Science. A good understanding of Agile principles whilst working with Scrum Teams. Atlassian suite of products: Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence.
