Our IT Security team is currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Security Engineer to join our growing team. The Senior Security Engineer should have a passion and enthusiasm for technology in general and security technologies. In addition, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge within the IT Security industry which includes at least three years hands-on (product implementation experience), as well as knowledge of a range of security products and technologies. About the role Reporting directly to the Information Security Officer responsible for security engineering, the successful candidate will take on crucial responsibilities including creating and updating security operations checklists, mentoring junior team members, and performing regular checks on security monitoring platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with security controls, solution design workshops, and technical certification training. Role Responsibilities Create, review, and update daily security operations checklists used by self and the team. Provide senior guidance and mentorship for less experienced security team members. Hands on experience working with controls for enhancing features, policies, hardening configurations and maximising the use of security product and service capabilities. Take active part in solution design workshops and support the development of Detailed Level Design solutions documentation (as well as Change, Test strategies, Pilot and UAT's etc.) for various security products. Check periodically through the day on all forms of security monitoring platforms. Validate security controls are working as intended and operational on a regular basis. Support triaging and investigating alerts and security events and, raise tickets for investigative activity to track efforts and early detection time stamping. About You Bachelor in Cybersecurity/Information Technology field or equivalent 3 or more years of product implementation experience with NGFWs (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco etc.). Experience with SIEM platforms (implementation, upgrade, operational management). Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms (implementation, upgrade, operational management). Experience with Network Security stack such as WAF, Sandbox, TAP and others Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Palo Alto PCNSE or similar - highly desired Demonstrable experience in security administration, analyst, engineering roles. Excellent working knowledge of leading endpoint, network, and gateway security controls. Excellent working knowledge of security monitoring tools. Good working knowledge of network security, operating system security, cybersecurity fundamentals. Good working knowledge of large infrastructure environments.
