Whether it's our publishers, agencies or brands you will be working on a breadth of projects across web design & build, illustration, 3D, motion and editorial. What s the opportunity? As a Senior Project Manager, you are a strategic, solution-focused leader with a deep understanding of end-to-end project delivery and cross-functional collaboration. You ll lead complex, high-value projects from planning and pre-sales through to delivery and post-campaign evaluation, ensuring exceptional outcomes that meet both client expectations and business goals. With a strong commercial lens, you ll drive profitability, foster long-term client relationships, and contribute to organisational growth. You ll also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and shaping operational best practices across the business. This is a highly visible, client-facing role that requires a balance of strategic foresight, attention to detail, and business acumen. Strategic Project Planning & Delivery: Guide project scope development, resource planning (within a project), and timeline/budget management at a strategic level. Oversee and balance multiple sized projects (from 3 days to 3 months), proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities. Partner with department leads to align project plans with wider business priorities and client goals. Collaborate with Sales and Creative teams to strategise project approaches, including production cost estimates and budget alignment. Client & Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Lead high-level communications and client engagements, ensuring transparency, alignment, and satisfaction. Support business growth through upselling, cross-selling, and cultivating repeat business opportunities. Time Tracking & Accountability: Accurately track and report project time (currently on Float), ensuring transparency on time spent per task to optimise resource planning and billable hours. Lead by example to reinforce time management best practices across teams. Team Mentorship: Mentor and support junior Project Managers, providing guidance on best practices across delivery. Champion a collaborative culture, helping teams work cohesively and perform at their highest potential. Post-Campaign & Process Evolution: Lead post-project debrief reviews, integrating learnings to inform strategic improvements. Assist Delivery Director in evolving operational frameworks and new tools or methodologies to improve delivery efficiency and documenting this. Establish and maintain project standards, ensuring excellence across all outputs. Commercial & Operational Excellence: Own project budgets, profitability tracking, and financial forecasting with a sharp eye for commercial success. Collaborate with Sales and Finance to ensure alignment on project delivery whilst creating scopes of work that match with revenue goals. Contribute to broader business planning by sharing insights from project data, client feedback, and market trends to the wider project management team and Delivery Director. Experience & Core Skills: Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation Extensive experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with a proven track record of delivery excellence. Provides informal mentorship and fosters growth by setting a strong example in delivery and collaboration. We encourage the phrase lead by example . Deep expertise in project management tools, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum), and resource optimization. We use Float, Slack, Trello (for particular clients). Outstanding client management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of budget control, forecasting, and project profitability, short term on a project, and longer term on annual retainers. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Schedule Variance (SV): Project adherence to timelines (SV = Earned Value Planned Value) Cost Variance (CV): Budget tracking (CV = Earned Value Actual Cost) Stakeholder Satisfaction: Client and internal feedback via surveys or reviews Client Revenue & Profitability: Financial performance and client account growth Supporting Team Productivity & Resource Utilisation: Task completion rates and efficiency metrics Peer Development Impact: Informal mentorship contributions, knowledge sharing, and positive influence on team collaboration Risk & Issue Management: Resolution times, mitigation success rates, and frequency of scope changes Escalation Management: Issue escalation effectiveness, assessing timing, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive, solution-driven approach What s the culture like? Lots of awesome nights out Global remote team meets in London every December Team lunches and online team games weekly View the HLabs team here: team.hlabs.co.uk What experience are we looking for? 7+ Years of project or account management experience Education requirements: 2.1 degree or higher at University, BBB grade or higher at A-Level or equivalent. A general understanding of the design industry and the role of no-code design platforms like Ceros, Webflow, Vev, and Readymag. Rive, SVGator and Framer would be a bonus. Knowledge of project management tools such as Trello and Float is not required but preferable. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with multiple urgent tasks and deadlines. A driven individual who can work under pressure on multiple projects at any one time and use their initiative to find solutions to problems. An Excel demon who isn t afraid of admin heavy tasks A people person who enjoys contributing to the company culture in a friendly manner. What s the job? Project Manager (with attributes of account management and client development) Full-time contract-to-permanent position 5 days a week. UK Timezone 9am-6pm £40k-45k (Salary based on experience) What are the benefits?
