Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Location: Manchester Contract: Full time - Permanent Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Projects and working with the Project Manager(s) on a daily basis, you will be responsible for: Co-ordinating the design activities of multi-discipline design teams on large projects or a portfolio of smaller projects. Independently project managing smaller or less complex projects and assignments within the office. Ensuring effective communication with design teams, management teams, and the client. Coordinating design teams to ensure design quality is delivered. Developing and implementing multi-discipline design programmes. Chairing design progress meetings. Ensuring engineering activities are carried out in line with business processes. Qualifications: Previous Engineering or Consultancy experience. Degree or equivalent in a related subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical/control/instrumentation engineering). Working towards or already achieved chartered engineer status. Specific sector-related experience including Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental, and Gas. UK project experience including some exposure to construction and installation activities. Knowledge and understanding of relevant UK design standards. Commercial awareness.
