Job Introduction BBC Cymru Wales Sport has a track record in developing and delivering distinctive and original daily output across digital platforms - written, audio and video - and including brands such as BBC Sport Online, Scrum V, Y Clwb Rygbi, Feast of Football, Y Coridor Ansicrwydd, Radio Wales Sport and Chwaraeon Radio Cymru. We are now seeking to appoint a Senior Journalist Team Manager in support of the department's ambitions to expand and strengthen its journalism on digital platforms with a story-led approach. We are looking for confident and creative Sport Journalists with proven editorial judgement, who are comfortable leading multi-platform output in a live, fast-paced environment. They will also require the leadership skills to manage a small team. Main Responsibilities Reporting to the Assistant Editor (Journalism & Digital Growth), you will be an editorial leader in charge of the daily running of the Sport News desk and with line management responsibility. This role requires a digital first approach to daily deployments, prioritising Welsh storytelling and original journalism. You will drive standards by taking ownership over editorial priorities and story treatments. Collaboration with other BBC teams is essential and a strong understanding of the department's strategy to serve and grow our audience. Are you the Right Candidate?
