Role Overview: Our Senior IT Engineer at P&J Live will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in Cisco technologies, including wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls. The IT Manager will work closely with various departments to support events and day-to-day operations, ensuring that all IT needs are met promptly and effectively. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Cisco wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls. Oversee network configuration changes as required for events within the venue. Participate in the design and implementation of new IT solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment. Schedule and manage upgrades in collaboration with other departments to find suitable outage windows. Monitor and troubleshoot network (LAN/WAN) performance issues. Document issue tickets and long-term changes. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide hands-on support for IT-related issues during events and daily operations. Collaborate with the European corporate IT team to ensure alignment with overall IT strategy. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience with Cisco technologies, including wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls. Strong understanding of network configuration and maintenance. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in an event support environment is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable. Please Note: The role requires flexibility, including some evening and weekend work. The successful candidate will be based at P&J Live in Aberdeen but may need to travel to other venues as required.
