Senior / Principal Flood Risk Consultant Location: Cambridge or remote based with occasional office travel Salary: up to 55k plus benefits We are seeking a Senior/Principal Consultant with experience in 1D and 1D-2D hydraulic modelling in flood risk to join a multi-disciplinary team working flexibly from the Cambridge office and from home. Responsibilities: Build and run hydraulic models using Flood Modeller Pro and TUFLOW. Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and technical reports. Provide technical advice and mentor junior staff. Manage projects across the UK, supporting planning applications. Assist with project financial management and team resourcing. Prepare fee proposals, bids, and tenders. Conduct business development and liaise with clients and stakeholders. Undertake site visits. Requirements: Degree in hydrology, geography, civil engineering, or related field. Experience in hydrological analysis (ReFH2, WINFAP) and hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW). Familiarity with GIS, Microsoft Office, and the NPPF. Ability to review models, mentor staff, and manage workloads. Knowledge of drainage strategy and SuDS is desirable.
