Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a commercially focussed, tenacious Senior Financial Analyst to undertake responsibility for the variance analysis and consolidation reporting for specific divisions within the Group to support effective financial decision making. What will the Senior Finance Analyst role involve? Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, the key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Analyst will include: Lead the reporting for specific sectors through working closely with the business facing finance teams and gaining a thorough understanding of the individual contracts within each division; Ensure that periodic reporting is accurate and delivered on a timely basis; Production of detailed variance analysis and associated commentary including attending review meetings to present findings; Development of effective financial models to support- effective analysis of performance; Support the ongoing development and implementation of effective controls and reports to support the continual improvement in the standard of reports and analysis presented to the wider business. Suitable Candidate for the Senior Finance Analyst opportunity: Applicants for the Senior Financial Analyst position will hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working within a similar role in a large, complex business and proven technical finance skills; Strong experience of building effective relationships with both other key finance stakeholders and the wider leadership team within a business will be essential as will the ability to implement effective change to reporting and analytical processes as and when required; Additional benefits and information for the position of Senior Finance Analyst: On offer is a competitive package including 10% bonus and enhanced employer pension contributions in addition to the genuine opportunity to build a long term career with an organisation that is experiencing a period of growth and reorganisation; The role is predominantly home based but the successful applicant will be expected to attend either the Portsmouth or London office to enable the development of the team culture and support the wider business ideally 1 to 2 days a week.
