Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer\n\nLocation: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote), Chester\n\nSalary: £55,000 + benefits\n\nAbout the role:\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in C/C++ (C++ 11/14/17) to join our rapidly growing business.\n\nDesign and develop embedded software solutions for innovative measurement devices for the power industry.\n\nBring up firmware on new hardware platforms designed in- house.\n\nImplement software modules to facilitate communication with cloud services from embedded devices.\n\nEnsure high-quality software delivery by writing robust, maintainable, and reliable code that adheres to industry standards.\n\nDrive continuous improvements in process efficiency and product quality as deployment scales increase.\n\nWhat we'll need from you:\n\nExpertise in C/C++ (C++ 11/14/17).\n\nProven experience in embedded software design and full product lifecycle development.\n\nStrong knowledge of low-level protocols (SPI, I2C, RS232) and experience interfacing with ARM Cortex microprocessors.\n\nExperience with unit testing frameworks and working with source control systems (Git).\n\nFamiliarity with Linux as both a target platform and development environment.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment, with a focus on agile methodologies.\n\nExperience with Continuous Integration tools is beneficial.\n\nAwareness of the electricity industry is beneficial.\n\nPlease note we cannot provide sponsorship for the role.\n\nIf interested, please send across an updated CV
