Senior Data Analyst Hybrid Swindon or London Up to £70,000 + Bonus Objective of the function/role Part of a fast-moving environment where key objectives include: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Business / Data Analyst with Payments and KYC experience to join our team. Collaborating with business stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements. Support the analysis, documentation and implementation of functional & non-functional requirements. Creation of standard and bespoke reports and views as well as experienced in building dashboards. Accountable to Key Result Areas Improve capture of clear & concise regulatory reporting requirements for UK and EU ensuring the value is captured so it can be prioritized. Background in Amazon S3 and QuickSight reporting and extracts. Meet the wider needs of clients to facilitate the move away from the legacy platform to the new micro-service & cloud-based architecture. Responsibilities This position requires a strong analytical mindset and a good understanding of regulatory reporting for the UK and EU. Analyse and capture both internal and external requirements and document them in a clear and concise manner. Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers and Business Stakeholders to analyse: New features Fixing or optimising existing elements Operational improvements including security, monitoring and visibility into the health and behaviour of the domain. Understand business cases and be able to arbitrate between requests, challenging requests where appropriate with relevant data. Creation of standardised and bespoke reports/extracts utilising QuickSight. Propose and agree solutions based on best practice and adhering to the rules and regulations of all countries involved. Evaluating business and technical solution proposals and designs to ensure they meet the business requirements. Employ structured business analysis techniques when problem solving and eliciting requirements. Collaborating with Test/QA team to ensure test scripts are in line with acceptance criteria of user stories. Produce supporting documentation around processes, static content to support API/Integration documentation, internal or external as required. Collaborating with IT development team both onshore and offshore to maximise value of end products, features and solutions. Skills & Behaviours Core skills & behaviours: Extensive Data Analyst experience in compliance for a payments, banking or financial services organisation. Familiarity with payment processing systems and technologies. Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for UK and EU. Experienced in Amazon S3 and QuickSight reporting. Creating diagrams and documentation within a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set. Strong communication skills both written and verbal with ability to liaise with all levels and areas of the business. Experienced in creating dashboards, alerts and monitoring based on agreed requirements. Ability to capture requirements and solutions and document them in a clear and concise stories with supporting diagrams. Highly organised, self-motivated with ability to work independently with a sense of ownership and responsibility. Clear and concise story writing and requirements documentation. Experience interacting with development teams both onshore & offshore on a day-to-day basis in an Agile environment. Power BI reporting. Fundamentals of software development lifecycles. Spanish, Portuguese or French speaking. Experience working within an agile environment. System integration concepts such as REST APIs, webhooks etc. Project tools like JIRA, visualisation tools like PowerPoint, Visio or similar. Additional Information Depending on the project assigned, the role will potentially involve meeting clients/3rd parties requiring occasional travel to either UK, Europe (potentially over 2-3 days), International (exceptional, but can be 3-5 days in duration).
