As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our technical team by recruiting a Senior/Lead electrical engineer to be based from our Stockport, Greater Manchester office with UK and limited EU travel. We are looking for the following : a good degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering significant experience of electrical design or commissioning experience gained in an industrial, utility, renewable power or consultancy environment, post degree. exposure to LV, MV and HV systems (Up to 400kV) detailed understanding of embedded generation, protection circuits, grid connections, switchgear/switchyards, and substations. detailed understanding of UK DNO process/applications (G99, G100, P28, G5/5 etc) experience using industry standard electrical software like DIGsilent, PSCAD, etc. a good understanding of health, safety and welfare within engineering. undertaking of UK site-based construction/excitation monitoring/FAT and SAT processes. able to travel in the UK and occasionally, for short durations, the EU. full driving licence. full right to work in the UK.
