Our client, a consultancy based in Gateshead, is recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer who will be working on a wide range of projects, mainly in social and private housing. The consultancy provides innovative engineering solutions and has won multiple awards. The most successful candidate will receive a range of benefits, flexible working arrangements, and a competitive salary up to £55,000. The Senior Civil Engineer will work alongside innovative engineers providing sustainable solutions to the market, while leading the technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, and construction. The Senior Civil Engineer will have experience in drainage and highway design, SuDS, flood risk assessments, and earthworks. Senior Civil Engineer Salary & Benefits Salary: £45k - £55k with regular pay reviews 35 hour week - half day Friday 21 Days holiday + BH + Christmas shutdown Flexible work arrangements to suit lifestyle Health scheme Support in gaining professional qualifications Death in service benefit Family friendly policies Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview Working on a range of projects including housing, commercial, residential, and extra care developments Ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget Leading day-to-day technical delivery Using design-based software for innovative infrastructure solutions on public and private sector projects Produce drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports, and site appraisals Working to relevant UK design standards Senior Civil Engineer Job Requirements BEng, Meng, MSc, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering Minimum 4 years post qualification experience working within an engineering consultancy Ability to produce drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports, and site appraisals Knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Local Authority Design Guidance, and preparation of technical approvals Working understanding of technical software including AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D, and AutoTrack Experience working with residential developers Strong written and verbal skills in English Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative on technical matters and provide support or mentoring to others within the team Bennett and Game Recruitment is a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex, operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
