Elementa are recruiting for an able SEND Teacher to work at this special school & PRU based in Swindon. The school provides education across their sites for learners that have ASD/ASC (Autism), SEMH and other complex needs as well as for children that have been permanently excluded from school. Often, all of their children display challenging behaviours.
Naturally being an experienced SEND Teacher in this type of teaching environment comes with its' challenges however this truly is a rewarding place to work. Despite the challenges their learners face, the school have high expectations of their learners and nurture and support them. The headteacher is continuing the long-standing approach to offer outstanding opportunities for the learners, but also maintaining a highly positive, friendly & welcoming work environment for colleagues.
Applicants with Team Teach training or other positive behaviour management training may be at an advantage however free training will be provided for the successful applicant. The school operate on a transparent and collaborative basis between staff & senior leadership team. Ideas are shared and everyone has the opportunity to enhance the working environment and student opportunities. Overall this is a highly positive environment to work in for both staff & students.

Applicants should have good previous SEND experience and knowledge, particularly in SEMH and ASD/ASC, and how to adapt the education approach to ensure that high-quality learning still takes place. Teachers not having worked at a PRU previously but with good SEND experience can be considered provided that you have good previous experience and are able to engage learners and deliver high-quality lessons.

Elementa will be managing all applicants and screening their suitability for the school. Elementa are not a supply agency, we are a school services & recruiting partner to schools. We will manage the candidate vetting & compliance and process your payroll on behalf of the school. Therefore applicants being considered for the role after pre-screening will be required to complete the registration process for Elementa. This includes full vetting & background checks and application for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable @ £62.70) unless you have a current DBS on the update service.

ELEMENTA CANDIDATE COMMITMENT:
Weekly pay – no waiting for monthly payroll cut off dates, Elementa pays one week in lieu.
PAYE contract – unless a candidate specifically requests it, all candidates are paid via PAYE giving them the protections and payment structure of a traditional employer:employee relationship; no umbrella companies.

Regular welfare contact and support from a dedicated candidate manager £162 - £251/day
