Elementa are recruiting for an able English Teacher to work at this special school & PRU based in Swindon. The school provides education across their sites for learners that have ASD/ASC (Autism), SEMH and other complex needs as well as for children that have been permanently excluded from school. Often, all of their children display challenging behaviours.
Naturally being a English Teacher in this type of teaching environment comes with its' challenges however this truly is a rewarding place to work. Despite the challenges their learners face, the school have high expectations of their learners and nurture and support them. The headteacher is continuing the long-standing approach to offer outstanding opportunities for the learners, but also maintaining a highly positive, friendly & welcoming work environment for colleagues.
Applicants with Team Teach training or other positive behaviour management training may be at an advantage however free training will be provided for the successful applicant. The school operate on a transparent and collaborative basis between staff & senior leadership team. Applicants should have good previous SEND experience and knowledge, particularly in SEMH and ASD/ASC, and how to adapt the education approach to ensure that high-quality learning still takes place. Non-subject specialist teachers can be considered provided that you have good previous English teaching experience and are able to engage learners and deliver high-quality lessons.

Weekly pay – no waiting for monthly payroll cut off dates, Elementa pays one week in lieu.
PAYE contract – unless a candidate specifically requests it, all candidates are paid via PAYE giving them the protections and payment structure of a traditional employer:employee relationship; no umbrella companies.

Regular welfare contact and support from a dedicated candidate manager £162 - £251/day
