Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: HullSalary: £90- £95 per day (dependent on experience)Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time OnlyStart Date: ASAP / Ongoing Opportunities Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and making a real difference in their day-to-day lives? Reed Education is working closely with a group of warm, welcoming, and well-resourced SEN schools across Hull, and we re looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team. About the Role: These schools cater for a wide range of needs, including autism (ASC), moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and complex communication needs. You ll be working in small, nurturing classes alongside experienced staff who are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Supporting students with their learning on a 1:1 or small group basis Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies Assisting with personal care where required Encouraging emotional regulation, independence, and positive social interaction Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide holistic care What You ll Need: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (essential) A calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive and adaptable mindset Why Work With These Schools?
