Bennett & Game Recruitment is partnering a growing accountancy practice as they recruit for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team. Offering a salary of £26,000-£29,000 (potentially more depending on experience), 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, 10% discretionary bonuses paid quarterly, onsite parking, pension, and more. Semi Senior Accountant Job Overview Accounts Preparation Preparing statutory accounts from a range of bookkeeping standards to incomplete records, including bank reconciliations, control account reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, calculation of debtors and creditors, nominal ledger accounting, and preparing trial balance. Preparing and submitting VAT returns Maintaining accounts for clients to the required standard Personal tax returns Corporation tax computations Assisting the team in carrying out internal audit work Dealing with client queries and liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial forecasts. General book-keeping on behalf of multiple clients using relevant accounting systems (including Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Digita and IRIS) Visit client premises to set up and maintain book-keeping records and quarterly VAT returns and provide support to clients, who maintain their own records, using the relevant accounting Submitting Year End accounts using accounts production software Semi Senior Accountant Job Requirements Have a strong understanding of accounts preparation and be either qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience. Experience with cloud software such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks and Free Agent. Being proficient in Digita would be beneficial Multi-tasking abilities Ability to prioritise. Ability to develop and maintain client relations. Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations. Building up good working relationships with clients and colleagues Working as part of a team as well as independently Good commercial awareness Tax planning and structures an advantage.
