Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring English lessons that cater to the needs of all students. Foster a love for literature and language while enhancing students' reading, writing, and analytical skills. Utilise a variety of teaching methods to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Assess and record students progress and provide grades and feedback to foster their academic growth. Collaborate with other English department staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively. Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school training events. Encourage students to participate in related extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or writing workshops. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Degree in English, Education, or a related field. Proven experience as an English Teacher. Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and current teaching methods.
