Learning Support Assistant needed in Leatherhead! Location : Leatherhead, Surrey Salary : £85 - £115per day Job Type: Temporary - Full time term time, 5 days a week only . Start Date: ASAP - hours 08:30-16:30 Mon-Fri. No sponsorships. We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to secondary aged students with ASD in a school setting in Leatherhead. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and thrives in a collaborative educational environment. Day-to-day of the role: Assist ASD students in accessing the curriculum, both in a classroom setting and on a one-to-one basis. Support the teacher in fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Encourage students independence and social integration. Aid in the development of students academic and life skills. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational setting. Understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive, encouraging attitude. Be able to work 5 full days a week. Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Benefits: Competitive daily rates within the specified range.
