Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits Location: UK, hybrid or remote About the role You will lead the medical writing team for accounts that require multiple writers to meet the content demands of customized medical communications initiatives, and/or lead multiple accounts. You will be responsible for assigned-client service and providing high-quality editorial oversight for all content from planning through to review and completion. What you'll do Deliver high-quality material with a mix of hands-on delivery of specific projects and reviewing/oversight role across other projects and is capable of working across a variety of project types including publications and medical affairs. Guide the scientific team on day to day tasks and is responsible for the accurate, high-quality, and timely execution of all scientific aspects of projects within a workstream. Provide scientific oversight for assigned large/complex projects or a workstream, briefing, reviewing, and providing guidance and direction to less experienced writers in account team. Be the client's day to day scientific contact, ensuring that all project-related discussions related to scientific matters are communicated effectively to the team and more widely to other AZ scientific indication leads as appropriate. Foster excellent client relationships through trusted delivery of projects. Collaborate with other functions including project management, client services and editorial within the workstream to ensure the overall well-being and efficiency of the scientific team, helping team members prioritize workload and tasks to deliver successfully. About You Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences; PharmD or PhD highly preferred. Ideally 4+ years of medical writing experience, either achieved in an agency environment or in-house. Strong background in scientific content development across various project types. Proven ability to provide leadership and mentoring to junior writers. Experience managing client relationships and serving as a key point of contact. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for medical communications.
