Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting IPS Flow Systems, a leading supplier of pipes, valves, and fittings across the UK and Ireland with their search for an experienced Sales Manager. Overall Purpose: The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and guiding the sales team to achieve sales targets, develop new business, maintain customer relationships, and enhance the overall customer experience. This role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology, and improving processes. The Sales Manager is also responsible for training, coaching, and monitoring the performance of the sales team. The role will also form part of the Senior Leadership Team to take the business forward and be a strategic part of structuring the business for growth. Key Duties: Senior Leadership Team: Serve on the Senior Leadership Team to grow the business and provide strategic input for all aspects of the business. Carry out reviews on process, procedure, documents to influence how the business operates to optimize growth, communication, customer engagement. Manage and inform teams on new directives from the board and the company directors. Support the directors in all aspects of the business strategy Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives. Analyse market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth. Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and budgets. Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team. Set clear objectives and KPIs for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment. Sales Execution: Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets. Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts. Ensure timely and effective customer communications. Handle escalations and resolve customer issues efficiently. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track sales performance metrics and report on team achievements. Use CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales processes. Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Assist in monthly reporting to the board of directors including presentations at board meetings. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships. Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions. Conduct regular business reviews with key customers. Market and Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services. Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and market gaps. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in the sales process. Leverage technology to enhance sales productivity and customer engagement. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Requirements: Experience in a senior management role and strategic planning. Proven track record and experience working in a similar role. Strong ability to communicate, inspire and motivate the team to achieve and exceed targets. Proven ability to drive the sales and marketing process from plan to close and leading the sales department to achieve their goals. Experience of managing data through a CRM system. Excellent people skills in mentoring, coaching. Clean driving license and willing to travel to customer sites and other company site. The Package: Competitive salary depending on experience.
