Join us as a Relationship Director within our Transaction Banking team in our Manchester office. About Transaction Banking Products and Services Transactions Product Management is responsible for the ownership, income and cost control of the Operational Banking payment and collections Products from across the Corporate Bank. The area is responsible for circa £300m of Transactional Banking Income which contributes to a further £1.4bn of Liquidity Income. About Trade and Working Capital TWC provides working capital solutions to clients and non-clients across all segments of the UK market. The TWC product suite includes Trade Finance & Receivables Finance based products provided via a team of specialists across the UK. What you will be doing Manage a portfolio of Large Corporate Receivables Finance (RF) customers, to meet their needs for the RF range of Invoice Discounting, Asset Based Lending, Selective Receivables Financing, Selective Debtor Finance and other bespoke products. The portfolio comprises customers with facility limits in excess of £7.5m. Manage and develop all areas relating to the provision of RF products and services to customers, including electronic interfaces such as Ledgermaster and Barclays Ledgershare. The management of the portfolio includes risk control, income generation, customer servicing and management of a portfolio in order to maximise income generation whilst minimising the loss of business to competitors and bad debts. Influence the quality and consistency of the operational service provided by Operations to customers in order to maximise customer satisfaction with the service they receive. Essential Skills: Proven experience in invoice financing and asset-based lending products, including legal documentation and transaction underwriting. Strong background within Credit risk. Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive innovative solutions. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities. Track record of owning and delivering impactful projects in a regulatory environment. Desirable Skills: Lending and corporate banking background. This role is based in Manchester. Purpose of the role: To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and SME clients regarding the Sales Finance Working Capital solution, bridging the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success. Accountabilities: Management of client relationships to identify the client's financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support growth, helping identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement to support client needs. Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations. Management of the clients Sales Finance facility and servicing to ensure balance between Credit Risk and returns. Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank. Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert product advice to ensure a positive and continuous relationship. Assessment of financial, legal, credit and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses. Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy. Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts. Vice President Expectations: Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures. If managing a team, define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes. If the position has leadership responsibilities, demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard. For an individual contributor, be a subject matter expert within own discipline and guide technical direction. Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
